The ages of innocence

I watch them play

Carefree and unafraid

No worries today

They talk of their battles

Their games and their fun

They run wild and dance

Both inside and in the sun

There isn’t a worry

There isn’t a care

No one whining

About how life isn’t fair

Oh how I wish

Everyone could see

These children of innocence

And how loving they can be
